How to Play Among Us Online

At the start of each match you are assigned a random role:

• Crewmate – complete tasks, fix sabotages and try to identify the impostor.
• Impostor – pretend to be a crewmate while secretly eliminating others and sabotaging the ship.

Basic flow of a round:

• Enter your player name and join an existing room or create your own lobby.
• When the game starts, follow your role instructions: do tasks if you are a crewmate or plan your attacks if you are an impostor.
• Report bodies or call emergency meetings when you see something suspicious.
• Use the chat during meetings to discuss what you saw, ask questions and vote out the player you suspect the most.
• The crew wins if they complete all tasks or eject all impostors. The impostors win if they eliminate enough crewmates or cause a critical sabotage that is not fixed in time.

Tips to Win as a Crewmate

• Finish your tasks early so you do not have to rush into dangerous areas later in the round.
• Pay attention to who follows you, who disappears near sabotages and who suddenly appears near bodies.
• Stay with at least one other player when possible, so you have someone who can confirm where you were.
• Use the map, cameras or admin tools (if available) to get extra information about player movements.
• During meetings, share what you saw clearly and listen carefully to stories that do not match.

Tips to Win as an Impostor

• Do not rush kills: walk around the map and fake tasks so you look like a normal crewmate.
• Use sabotages to create chaos, separate the group or pull players away from bodies.
• Always have a believable alibi: know which room you will say you came from and who you were “with”.
• Avoid standing directly on vents or near sabotages when someone enters the room.
• During discussions, talk just enough to look helpful, but avoid overexplaining your actions.
